Individuals born anywhere in the state of North Carolina from 1971 to the present may now obtain a copy of a certified birth certificate at the Mecklenburg County Vital Records Office. Cost for the service is $24.00 and includes researching the certificate in the North Carolina state registry and one copy of the certificate.
